Orders can be placed directly through this website by simply adding an item to your cart and following the simple checkout steps. Almost all pieces are made-to-order upon receipt of payment. Lead times range from 4 - 9 weeks depending on the piece, and the current schedule of orders. The current lead time is posted above, unless otherwise noted in a listing. In a hurry? If you need a piece rush-ordered, please contact Kristin with your specific request before placing your order. A rush can sometimes be accommodated but not always, and not with all pieces. If it is possible to accommodate, rush fees may be applied to cover shipping fees from vendors, overtime labor, etc. Fees depend on the piece and turnaround time requested, so please be specific with your item request and exact deadline when inquiring. (Link to the item, and also provide the finger size, metal color, and date needed.)
Payment can be made using any major credit or debit card, or through PayPal. Follow the simple steps at checkout to complete your order. Buyer agrees to pay immediately upon purchasing; if payment is not received, the order will be cancelled. Orders will not be shipped or started until the full balance is paid.
For orders shipping within Colorado, 7.65% sales tax will automatically be added at checkout. There is no tax on orders shipping to any other state in the US. International orders may incur local taxes and fees from your country's Customs offices. Please read the International Shipping section below for more details.
Shipping rates and carrier are determined by the total price of your order:

➣ $201 to $499 – USPS Priority; includes insurance, tracking; signature required at delivery
➣ $500 to $3,499 – UPS 2-day; includes insurance, tracking; signature required at delivery
➣ $3,500 and up – UPS Standard Overnight; includes insurance, tracking; signature required at delivery
If you would like to add insurance or tracking to a shipment valued under $200 or would like to upgrade to UPS, let Kristin know and she will send an invoice for the shipping balance after your purchase is made.
All international orders ship via FedEx Priority, which is fully insured, trackable, and requires a signature upon receipt. FedEx Priority is more costly than some other carriers, but it is the most reliable, fastest international method. FedEx Priority is an average of just 1-3 business days in transit worldwide. Prices vary by country and the total order value; please contact Kristin with your postal code and link to the item(s) for a quote on your country's rates prior to ordering.
The buyer is responsible for any additional duties/taxes associated with Customs. You can check with your country's local Customs office to estimate what you can expect to pay in fees. It is the customer's responsibility to know the customs laws in their country and to alert Kristin Coffin Jewelry if there are restrictions or other issues.
Every so often a package can get held up in Customs. Kristin cannot be responsible for any delays in delivery due to Customs. Buyer agrees to take full responsibility for the risks involved in international shipping (delayed delivery, payment of duties, etc.). That being said, we ship internationally a few times each week, and have never encounter a lost package using FedEx.
It is your responsibility to make arrangements to sign for and receive your package. If you work all day and have a package shipped to your home, you will have to make arrangements to be home to receive it that day. All insured items require a signature, and cannot be left at the door. If you are at work, perhaps shipping to your work address is better so you can be there to sign for it. Or ship to a friend or family member who is available during the day to sign. Feel free to email Kristin with the shipping address that works best for you.
*UPS will only attempt delivery 3 times before the package is sent back to Kristin. If it is returned, re-shipping will be at the cost of the customer. If you know you will be out-of-town at any point, please email Kristin with the dates you will be traveling. Kristin will make sure not to ship during those dates. Keep in mind packages sometimes ship early, so notify Kristin of any dates you are traveling -- even early ones.
Engagement rings are presented in a flip-top bamboo box, with laser-engraved logo on top. Perfect for proposing (cargo pants or baggy pants recommended if you're hoping for a surprise proposal -- sorry, your skinny pants won't fit this ring box!) Wedding bands and other fine jewelry come packaged in an elegant gift box. All boxes are carefully and beautifully packed in sturdy shipper boxes for safe transit. Along with your box you'll receive care and cleaning instructions and information about the artist. All moissanite orders come with a Charles & Colvard® or Moissanite International® certificate of authenticity.
It is extremely important to find out the correct finger size before ordering. Many pieces cannot be resized, and would require a complete remaking of the ring. (Keep the 7-day return/exchange policy in mind!) Please read through the FAQ's before ordering for more information on determining size. Please read this blog post for information on determining someone else's size. It is the buyer's responsibility to indicate the correct size upon purchasing, so if you have any questions regarding what size to order, reach out to Kristin before ordering. If you need your ring resized, please confirm with Kristin that it is possible. When possible, resizing starts at $75 per ring (plus any cost of additional gold needed, or resetting required), and shipping both ways. Due to the high volume of orders, resizing takes 4 weeks to complete after Kristin receives the ring.

Items may be returned/exchanged with a postmark date within 7 days of receipt of item. Prior authorization is required for all returns and exchanges. Pieces must be in the same condition as when they were received, and must be in original packaging with all cards, boxes, etc. included. Item must be sent via FedEx or UPS overnight or 2-day, or via USPS Express. It must be fully insured and with a Delivery Confirmation (tracking and proof of shipping).
